Party Games
Party games can add entertainment and great fun to any celebration.
Whether you are having a birthday party for your young child
or a baby shower for your best friend, party games are enjoyed
by everyone. First, depending on the type of party and the age
of guests attending the party, you will need to decide on which
games are most appropriate.
For a child's birthday party there are the classic party games
of “Pin the tail on the donkey” and “Drop the
clothes pin in the bottle”. Children love to play party
games and will enjoy a small prize when the game is over. Some
party givers will reward the winner of the game with a special
prize, but be sure to give small gift backs to all guests in
order to not disappoint any child. Special themed birthday party
games are also a favorite. If you're having a Pirate themed party,
a treasure hunt will be the perfect game to play. The winner
may get a small bag of coined shaped chocolate wrapped in gold
foil. It will appear that they have won the "treasure!"
Teenagers will have more fun playing organized party games.
Charades will keep them busy for quite some time. Divide them
into two groups and hand out pre-written movie titles for them
to act out. No prize will be needed for this, but a treat once
the game ends will be a crowd pleaser. Try bringing in the pizza
just before the end of the game. DVD's are available with party
games for teens. These DVD's play scenes from popular movies
while your guests guess at the title. Don't forget the all time
favorite party game of teens, spin the bottle.

Baby shower party games are meant for adults to participate
in. Occasionally there are children at the shower and they should
be included as well. Fill a tray with baby items and carry it
around for everyone to view for about 15 seconds. Remove the
tray and hand out paper and pencils. Have the guests write down
the names of all items on the tray. The guest with the most items
listed correctly wins. In case of a tie, choose the person who
has more detail. The blue bib will win over the bib. A fun game
for all guests to play is to guess the waist size of the mother-to-be.
Take a roll of toilet paper and have each guest cut off a piece
of paper that they believe to be the length that will fit around
the waist of the mother-to-be. The person guessing the closest
to the correct measurement will win a prize. Have fun playing
games at your next party!
