Party Planning
Now that you've decided to have a party you will need to think
about party planning. Planning a successful party, dinner, or
special occasion can be daunting. There are many decisions to
be made. Organizing your party takes planning. Is this a business
party or for family and friends?
Business party planning takes on a different course than planning
a party for family. When throwing a business party the company
budget will need to be taken into consideration. Caterers will
most likely need to be hired and a hall may need to be rented.
When throwing a business party you'll need to decide if employees
should bring other family members. Should alcohol be served?
If you do serve alcohol, is there a plan for transportation?
Many companies will hire drivers to take your guests home that
can't or shouldn't drive themselves. Remember, this is an office
party, have fun but don't do anything you want the office talking
about the next day.
Family gatherings can take less party planning depending on
how formal you would like the occasion to be. Often family members
will pitch in to help, saving you the expense of hiring people
to set-up and cater. Ask relatives and friends to bring a dish
to share. Making a check list and getting organized will help
your party run more smoothly. Even family members don't want
to sit around and be bored, so plan for music or even a favorite
video. You may want to include an old family video to watch.
Event planners can be hired for any special occasion making
your job that much easier. They not only will work out a budget
but once they have all the information needed, such as where
it will be and how many will attend; they can take over completely
with all of your party planning needs. This can save on stress
while letting you enjoy the party yourself.
