Pool parties can be fun when you make well organized party plans.
When inviting guests to a pool party, you will need to remind
them to bring their towels and bathing suits. Often someone may
forget to bring one or the other. Keeping extra towels at hand
is a good idea. Pool parties often include serving a meal. When
planning your meal for your pool party, consider purchasing prepared
food and beverages. Always remember to keep the food light. Get
things like salads, fruits, veggies and dips, soda, water and
juice would be great for the thirsty swimmer who has been out
in the sun. Make sure that the pool is very well maintained and
cleaned. Provide a room or rooms for everyone to change into
their bathing suits and from wet clothes to dry ones. Tell the
parents and even grownups to make sure that they will need to
put on some sunscreen. You can have sunscreen available for everyone
to use.
Pool parties are most often held in the back yard. For the Pool
Party you will need to set up plenty of tables and chairs around
the pool and on the deck so that the guests will be able to relax
and enjoy eating the delicious food. There should also be additional
large tables, one for the food and the other for the beverages.
Arrange an ample supply of paper plates, utensils, cups, and
napkins.
For listening pleasure set up a stereo and speaker system with
several types of music to play. For instance, someone might like
oldies while others may like today’s music. Have a good
supply of music on hand from the ‘60s, ‘70s, ‘80s
and songs for the youngest set as well. Decorating the pool area
with sand and seashells gives the back yard that seaside look.
Pool parties often have games. Common pool party games are, “Sharks
and Minnows” or even “Marco Polo.” Always remember
when having a pool party, you should make sure that someone there
is an avid swimmer and that all grown ups should know CPR. You
will have a great time with this event if precautions are taken.
